Our Detuned cabinets are designed to get the most efficiency out of your speakers. While conventional sealed guitar cabinets trap and absorb all of the sound waves projecting from the rear of the speaker cone, our ported baffles allow these lost waves to be reflected back to the listener. This gives an effect much like placing an open-back enclosure near the upstage wall; filling the room with sound. The detuned design effectively eliminates the super-directional "laser beam" of sound you typically get from sealed enclosures, as well as greatly improving low-frequency response. We currently offer 1x12" and 2x12" configurations, but tell us your idea, we've been known to build all sorts of stuff.
